Favorite movie?
The Greatest Showman–coincidentally this is also my daughter’s favorite movie, so I’m in good company 😉
Favorite travel destination?
Bora Bora, no question.
Stuck in elevator with…?
My grandfather—he always had the best stories.
Favorite moment to shoot at wedding?
The few seconds after the end of the ceremony, when the bride and groom walk back down the isle. There is such a wonderful mix of excitement and emotion at this moment that the last thing the bride and groom are thinking about is the camera.
What I love most about being a photographer…
Presenting to my clients the unique way that I saw the beauty of their day and their connection with each other.
Favorite city to photograph and why?
Tokyo. I made a trip there years ago and didn’t get to shoot nearly as much as I would have liked to. I’d like to shoot in the Japanese countryside more than the city though, well outside of Tokyo.
Favorite movie?
Safe Haven or any Nicholas Sparks movie! I’m a big romantic movie girl. I guess being a wedding photographer, it makes sense!
Favorite travel destination?
The Bahamas or anywhere tropical. I haven’t been to the Amalfi Coast, but that is on my list of places to go!
Stuck in elevator with…?
Definitely my husband! He can make light out of any situation and not stress. He always makes life so much fun!
Favorite moment to shoot at wedding?
I obviously love ALL of the sweet couples moments, but my favorite non-couple moment would be the father/daughter dance. Im a big daddy’s girl, and so that dance always gets me tearing up.
What I love most about being a photographer…
I love creating authentic and meaningful moments on the wedding day, encouraging my couples to take it all in. I also love having the ability to remind people of truly how beautiful they are through my images.
Favorite city to photograph and why?
Savannah, GA by far! I love the low country vibes and all of the unique historic venues.
Favorite movie?
White Chicks. I will never not think of Terry Crews every time Vanessa Carlton’s “1000 Miles” song comes on.
Favorite travel destination?
Anywhere where I can explore breathtaking views via a hike. I visited Rocky Mountain National Park and did a snowy Christmas Day hike once and I’ve never forgotten that feeling of peacefulness and solitude.
Stuck in elevator with…?
David Blaine the magician. He’s got great stories to tell and I’m guaranteed to be entertained with some magic while we wait.
Favorite moment to shoot at wedding?
Golden hour with the bride and groom. Recognizing that the photos I’m capturing at that very moment will be the ones seen for generations in your family gives me goosebumps.
What I love most about being a photographer…
I treasure building a connection not just with my couples, but with their friends and families as well. If even for just one day, I want to treat your closest people like my closest people so that everyone has a fantastic experience to remember.
Favorite city to photograph and why?
When my oldest daughter was just two years old, we visited Savannah, GA for a couple of days and I spent the trip just photographing her and my wife and the beautiful fall scenery around them. It’s really hard to take a bad picture in Savannah (and it’s really hard to eat a bad meal)!
